A Restorative Gathering in Nature
LW Events & Travel created a three-day retreat in the scenic Hocking Hills region for a nonprofit client seeking to gather their team from across the U.S. in a relaxing, getaway setting that felt less like a traditional meeting and more like a time to reflect and connect. The LW Events & Travel team researched multiple venues to find the perfect fit, creating a detailed venue deck with property information and maps. The final location offered easy access, comfortable cabin accommodations and beautiful natural surroundings, including a tranquil pond that was ideal for a group that values breaks between meetings to walk and recharge outdoors.
LW Events & Travel coordinated all logistics, from venue and cabin check-ins to working with a trusted caterer willing to travel to the remote location. When supplemental catering needs arose on-site, the team quickly adapted by sourcing items from a nearby grocery store. To enhance the restorative nature of the retreat, LW Events & Travel arranged a group sound bath experience with local wellness provider Inner Wisdom Wellness. The three-day schedule balanced structured meeting time with relaxation, including an outdoor dinner on the deck followed by a cozy movie night in one of the lodges, allowing attendees to fully embrace the natural setting.
The client and attendees were thrilled with the location, venue, and overall experience. The natural environment transformed the gathering into something more meaningful than a typical meeting. It was a chance to gather, reflect and connect in a beautiful setting that encouraged both productivity and restoration.

Colorado Leadership Convening – 2025

Bringing Together Changemakers in the Heart of Denver
LW Events & Travel partnered with a conflict prevention nonprofit to create a seamless three-day leadership convening at Denver's historic Oxford Hotel. The nonprofit, an organization dedicated to community engagement across the country, brought together participants from their various regional groups for meaningful dialogue and collaboration. The Oxford Hotel provided an elegant backdrop with its well-appointed rooms, naturally lit meeting spaces, and prime location near the train station, allowing attendees to explore the surrounding neighborhood while enjoying the convenience of having all programming, dining, and accommodations in one charming venue.
LW Events & Travel's comprehensive approach ensured the nonprofit's team could focus entirely on delivering impactful programming. From researching five Denver neighborhoods and creating detailed venue presentations to managing all contracting, menu coordination, and on-site execution, every detail was handled with care. Special attention was given to the nonprofit's specific requirements: meeting spaces with abundant natural light and carefully curated menus accommodating diverse dietary restrictions. When unexpected challenges arose with the hotel's internal systems, LW Events & Travel maintained constant communication and on-site presence throughout the three days, troubleshooting behind the scenes to ensure a flawless attendee experience.
The retreat featured varied event spaces that kept the experience fresh and engaging. Attendees enjoyed exceptional food, memorable moments, including a surprise poetry reading at the dinner reception, and seamless execution from start to finish. The overwhelmingly positive feedback confirmed what matters most: the client was able to fully participate in their own programming, free from logistical concerns.

The evening at KEMBA Live! featured captivating performances, engaging programming and delicious cuisine provided by Cameron Mitchell Premier Events. Guests were treated to the soulful sounds of Mojo Flo while Creative Muse enhanced the atmosphere with artistic elements throughout the venue. PageTech ensured seamless technical production, creating an immersive experience that highlighted the important work of Buckeye Ranch and the positive impact they continue to make in countless young lives.

Stevie Life in the Key of Wonder — 2025

What a celebration of music and young talent! We partnered with Momentum Excellence for their grand spring performance, "Stevie Life in the Key of Wonder" at the Davidson Theatre. Nearly 1,000 Central Ohio children took the stage to pay tribute to Stevie Wonder through vibrant choreography and joyful expression.
The theatre came to life with incredible designs by Grace K Design and beautiful arrangements from Petals that Inspire. These young dancers captivated the audience with performances that showcased months of dedication and embodied Momentum's mission of building confidence and teamwork through the arts.

A Special Night with A Special Wish — 2025

We were delighted to partner with A Special Wish Foundation on "A Special Night with A Special Wish," bringing together 175 attendees for an evening of celebration and support. The event transformed The Peak at Edison's stunning fourth-floor space into a magical setting where guests could connect with the mission of granting wishes to children facing critical illnesses.
The evening featured elegant catering by Chef's Table, dazzling custom lighting displays from Alpha Lit, beautiful floral arrangements by Petals that Inspire, amazing interactive story stations constructed by Grace K Designs, and technical support from PageTech. Guests enjoyed an inspiring live program featuring local wish stories and a mission-focused evening filled with hope, celebration and the joy of making wishes come true for children and families throughout Central Ohio.

Central Ohio Healthcare Summit — 2025

We were honored to partner with Aspyr to bring the Second Annual Central Ohio Healthcare Summit to life, connecting over 2,000 attendees — students, educators and healthcare professionals — for an immersive, hands-on experience.
This year’s summit featured 20+ hands-on demonstrations, six occupation stations and four mobile medical units, giving students a real-world look at careers in nursing, medical assisting, imaging, medical lab technology, respiratory therapy and surgical technology. The event also welcomed the public for an open session, where attendees explored interactive tables hosted by top healthcare education programs and gained career insights directly from HR professionals.

For the third year in a row, LW Events partnered with The Buckeye Ranch to help them plan and execute their annual Community Day. This free, family-friendly event was an opportunity to celebrate the children, youth and families that they serve, as well as the Whitehall Community.

Action for Children
50th Anniversary Celebration — 2023
We collaborated with Action for Children on an extraordinary 50th Anniversary Celebration and documentary premiere at the Columbus Museum of Art. This event supported AFC's mission to transform the lives of children by supporting, empowering and advocating for the adults who make the biggest impact on children’s lives — their parents, caregivers and teachers.

Fayette Regional Humane Society
Third Annual Fur Ball
We partnered with Fayette Regional Humane Society (FRHS) on their third annual Fur Ball fundraiser! Attendees enjoyed a live auction and music, along with gourmet hors d’oeuvres and interactive story stations that helped donors connect more closely with FRHS’ mission to promote and protect the welfare of domestic animals and to honor the human-companion animal bond. Charitable Healthcare Network
Free Clinic Awards Reception and Safety-Net Symposium 2023
We partnered with The Charitable Healthcare Network on their 2023 Free Clinic Awards reception and the 2023 Safety-Net Symposium. Presentations included a keynote from Loren Anthes, Head of Policy and Programs at Yuvo Health, on the impact of Medicaid Unwinding on free and charitable providers as well as breakouts on free clinic operations, implementing telehealth and many other topics. The YMCA Legacy Event — 2022
The YMCA Legacy Event took on a different feel this year, giving guests the opportunity to interact with staff and learn about the Y’s programs through special interactive “story stations.” Attendees line danced, painted a group canvas and competed in camp games to better understand the Y’s mission.
