Sunny with a Chance of Rainbows

I’ve said this a million times in the past few months, it has been a rough time for nonprofits, and more specifically, nonprofit events. Is it possible that the sun is starting to come out?

I’ve spent a lot of time meeting with nonprofit professionals to gauge their plans for the Fall and Spring, and the answers have ranged from international travel to still doing virtual events, so what are the real trends? It’s tough to say because there’s still a lot of uncertainty, but my event radar is pointing strongly toward in-person events happening sooner than we thought.

On my docket is a wide range of virtual events to in-person festivals and lots of variations in between, and I think there’s going to be a lot of decisions made that will continue to fluctuate over the next few months. The good news is that your attendees and sponsors will understand, and if you have strong relationships built, they’ll support you regardless of what type of event you do.

I bet in-person events are going to roar back like the roaring 20s, but even if that doesn’t happen as quickly as we’d like, isn’t it nice to just be thinking about making plans again?
