Freedom!

Freedom!

After over eight years of building LW Events as a side business (and having a full-time job at the same time), I finally made the leap to pursue LW Events as a full-time job. It's only been two weeks, but my calendar is packed, and now I'm asking myself why I waited so long. This has been a dream of mine for a very long time, and I'm so excited to finally be out on my own pursuing my passion for event strategy and planning.

I've realized along the way that my priority is to give back to the Columbus community, and I can do that best by providing the expertise I've honed for over 18 years as an event planner. LW Events is a social enterprise, and I've been donating a percentage back to my nonprofit clients already, but this move to full-time will empower me to amplify my contributions to the Columbus nonprofit community. In addition to continuing my support for nonprofit events, Iā€™m excited to grow the corporate event planning arm of LW Events. It's all interconnected, and I'm proud to be a part of a community that's working to improve our City with mental health services, housing, healthcare, early childhood education, and so much more.

I've also decided to focus more on bar and bat mitzvah planning, which is something I didn't think would be a big part of what I offer, but the more I plan these types of events, the more fun I'm having, so why not? Pure party planning is kind of a break from the strategy and storytelling I'm so focused on with my nonprofit clients, and now I can exercise my creativity in a different way while also helping families who are celebrating such an important milestone.

The future is bright, and I hope you will all come along with me. If you don't already, please be sure to follow LW Events on all of our social channels!
